SMC is an exceptionally busy surgery with approx. 800-1000 incoming calls daily.   The role is predominantly call operator with the responsibility of undertaking a wide range of administrative duties which include registering patients, booking appointments, ensuring all information is managed correctly, filed and followed up accordingly. To act as the focal point of contact and be responsible for the dissemination of information, messages and enquiries for the medical team, liaising with multidisciplinary team members, and other health professionals within the practice.

We are looking for enthusiastic and passionate Health Care Assistants with varying experience to join our team.

This is a temporary bank Health Care Assistant role at Stourport Medical Centre. The role offers flexibility to work the shifts you want, with an hourly rate starting at £12.45 per hour. The healthcare assistant will assist the practice clinical team in the provision and delivery of prescribed programs of patient care, strictly in accordance with specific partnership guidelines and protocols.

Advanced Nurse Practitioner

Advanced Nurse Practitioners – Visiting – Kidderminster Medical Centre

Working at our Kidderminster Medical Centre, we are looking to recruit an Advanced Nurse Practitioner – Visiting, will be an experienced nurse who, acting within their professional boundaries, will provide care for patients presenting at the practice from initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care. They will demonstrate safe, clinical decision-making and expert care, including assessment and diagnostic skills, for patients within general practice.  Preference for the post holder to be NMC registered independent prescriber. Working 30 hours per week.

They will work collaboratively with the general practice team to meet the needs of patients, supporting the delivery of policy and procedures.  As part of the Wyre Forest Health Partnership, the role will be based at Kidderminster Medical Centre, but the post holder may be required to work at other WFHP sites. Working at our Church Street Surgery, we are looking to recruit a Practice Nurse, working 30 hours per week. To undertake a range of nursing assessments and provide appropriate care / treatment in conjunction with GPs according to practice policy, protocols etc. Strive to improve standards of care and be involved in identifying practice population needs. Chronic Disease management is an essential part of the role as well as the mentoring of our Health Care Assistants. Knowledge of the GMS contract, e.g. The Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF)  and an understanding of LES/DES is desirable.

The Church Street Surgery is seeking to recruit an Advanced Nurse Practitioner for a full-time position, working 37 hours per week. The ideal candidate should be an experienced nurse capable of operating within their professional boundaries to deliver comprehensive care for patients attending the practice. This includes tasks such as initial history taking, clinical assessments, diagnosis, treatment, and care evaluation. The role demands safe and informed clinical decision-making, along with expert care that encompasses both in-house consultations and home visits. The candidate should demonstrate advanced clinical decision-making and diagnostic skills suitable for general practice.

The candidate must be a registered independent prescriber with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).

Applicants who are Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACPs) or Paramedics will also be considered, provided they have the First Contact Practitioner (FCP) qualification and are qualified prescribers.
